How We Got Here

We got started on our off grid venture a little over 4 years ago.

We kind of just jumped all in and totally left the power grid. We spent the first year with absolutely no electricity and only a wood stove for cooking and heat. No hot running water.

Things have changed since then. We've added in our solar array and a 12 volt fridge. We use LED lighting now instead of kerosene lamps. We added a home phone and internet access last year and reentered the 21st century :-)
